Your CME Resource
ME also serves as your personal CME manager, simplifying your life by automatically tracking your AAPM&R-issued CME credits and reporting them to the American Board of PM&R (ABPMR) on your behalf. Academy members may also manually enter CME obtained from other sources, which the Academy will also send to ABPMR, making ME a complete and personalized CME credit history repository.
Additionally, ME allows physicians to print CME certificates and transcripts on demand, eliminating the wait time that accompanies a manual process of printing and mailing certificates.
Click on My Portfolio for immediate access to a complete transcript of Academy-issued CME.
Available Activities
AAPM&R is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Now that Congress has enacted final health reform legislation, your Academy has drafted an analysis of the more than 1,000 page-law to determine how it may impact physiatrists and their patients. Click here to read this analysis (PDF). Click here for chart of AAPM&R’s Health Reform Priorities (PDF).
In addition, the Academy’s Health Policy and Legislation (HP&L) Committee has appointed a Final Rule Subcommittee to address the Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) and other federal agencies’ rules to implement the new health reform law. The subcommittee has begun gathering information on the prospective rulemaking process regarding the new health reform law and will comment on proposed rules as announced in the Federal Register that impact the specialty. Please continue to monitor the Academy’s Web site for updated information on the implementation of the new health reform law and related Academy activities.
