Self-Assessment Exams for Practitioners (SAE-P)
For years the Academy has offered the Self-Assessment Exam for Practitioners (SAE-P) as part of the Study Guide supplement issues distributed annually in March in hard copy format. Now, the SAE-P is available online, in an interactive format for an enhanced learning experience. Articles from each Study Guide are also available in PDF format within each online SAE-P. Each SAE-P is designated for 15 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ and fulfills the requirement for Part II of Maintenance of Certification (MOC) set forth by the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Lifelong Learning and Self Assessment).
In addition, the Academy offers SAE-Ps that are not directly linked to a content source (i.e. the Study Guide). These offerings include such topics as:
- 2009 In-Patient Rehabilitation
- 2009 General Out-Patient Rehabilitation
- 2008 SAE-P: Sports Medicine (Subspecialty Board Review)
These additional SAE-Ps allow practitioners to get immediate feedback in a ‘testing environment’, including explanation and references for each question. As with the SAE-P offered with the Study Guide, each SAE-P offers 15 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
Please refer to each SAE-P’s product description for more information. The number of questions per SAE-P varies from 25 to 112 total questions. Note: The self assessment portion of these activities are meant to be completed in one sitting, and therefore does not “save your place” when you log out.
