The Self-Directed Physiatric Education Program Study Guides are planned and produced in accordance with the ACCME Essentials for developing continuing medical education.

Study Guide, Journal Version

A CME study package covering the scope of physiatric medicine complete with a self-assessment examinations (SAE-P) – published annually as a Medical Education Supplement to the Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Designed for practicing physicians as well as residents in PM&R, each volume covers two important rehabilitation topics.

Study Guide materials for each topic include explanatory text, reference lists, and self-assessment examinations (SAE-P). In recent years, the Study Guide has also included Focused Review articles that expand the coverage of specific subtopic areas within each major PM&R topic. Expert panels of clinicians have prepared each topic to provide up-to-the minute information representing the standard of physiatric care.

CME Credit

AAPM&R designates this educational activity for a maximum of 15 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ per Self-Assessment (SAE-P). Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Credit for the Study Guides and accompanying SAE-P may be obtained for up to 3 years from date of publication.
