Pain Pearls and eJournal Club
The Pain Pearls and eJournal Club webinars are designed to improve knowledge and competence of physicians and other healthcare professionals who manage and treat patients with chronic pain.
"How Do I Do It" Pain Pearls
These case-based learning activities provide real-life scenarios involving doctor-patient interactions, facilitating a better understanding of how to treat actual patients. The cases provide clinicians with the opportunity to benefit from expert opinion on the management of patient cases that encompass diverse treatment challenges and help healthcare professionals acquire new knowledge to utilize in their practice.
Combined audio and slides in each case presentation provide details of the patient history, physical examination, lab data, applicable imaging, and pathology in a step-by-step approach to best mirror diagnostic and management challenges. Multiple-choice questions are incorporated into the activities, engaging learners to make clinical assessments and decisions.
Each Pain Pearl is designated for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ and fulfills the requirement for Part II of Maintenance of Certification® (MOC) set forth by the American Board of PM&R (Lifelong Learning and Self Assessment).
